Mumbai, September 11, 2014: Datamatics Global Services Limited (DGSL) announced that two of their projects have won the prestigious Information Week EDGE awards. This is the fourth time that a DGSL project has won this award. The EDGE awards recognize the organizations that have made effective use of technology to solve business problems, improve business competitiveness and deliver quantifiable increase in ROI to stakeholders. DGSL’s project won these awards from among 200 nominations, for their innovative approach to expedite business processes, reduce errors and shorten turn-around-times.

The first award was won by Datamatics for providing a solution to a leading private insurance firm for its insurance policy issuance process. The solution made the use of iQ, a .NET based in-house tool, which is an intelligent framework that eliminates manual processes and increases efficiency through faster processing times and significant reduction in errors. This enabled their client to issue the insurance policies within few hours instead of couple of days.

The second award was directly received by DGSL’s client MMRDA. The solution for MMRDA was based on Alfresco – a leading Open Source Document Management System for enterprises. DGSL’s expertise in implementing the solution ensured that the client had an effective web-based DMS integrated to e-Office enabling to make their office virtually paperless. It significantly reduced manual efforts, made document retrieval faster and easier; and increased document storage security to unprecedented levels.

Rahul Kanodia, Vice-Chairman & CEO of DGSL, said, “We are extremely pleased at having won two EDGE awards. These awards showcase our continued commitment to making our clients’ lives easier. Datamatics’ solutions for its clients helped them achieve greater operational efficiency and greatly improved productivity. These awards shall motivate our workforce to keep up their wonderful work.”
