The client is a prominent international organization dedicated to advancing women's rights and gender equality across the world. With a mandate to support economic inclusion, political participation, education, and safety for women and girls, the organization operates through a vast network of programs spanning multiple continents.
As the international organisation expanded its footprint across continents, managing a diverse portfolio of programs focused on women’s empowerment, it encountered a growing operational hurdle—disconnected systems and fragmented data. With each regional office using its own methods and legacy tools to plan and report progress, there was no cohesive way to monitor program performance or align on shared outcomes.
This fragmentation posed a significant challenge for the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO), who was tasked with aligning program delivery to long-term impact across geographies. Without a centralised system, tracking the relationship between planned actions, achieved outcomes, and sustained impact was nearly impossible. Reports were static, delayed, and manually compiled—limiting visibility into what was working, what wasn’t, and why.
The organisation urgently needed a Result-Based Management (RBM) system that could provide a unified platform to plan, monitor, and evaluate programs in real time. It also had to seamlessly integrate with existing legacy systems and datasets from global offices to preserve historical context and ensure continuity.
To overcome the organisation’s operational challenges, Datamatics conducted a comprehensive analysis of the existing systems and business processes across global offices. Based on this assessment, the team implemented a robust enterprise portal development solution tailored to meet the unique requirements of a Result-Based Management (RBM) framework.
Datamatics adopted a modern technology stack to ensure long-term sustainability and performance. The platform was developed using ASP.NET MVC 5.0, Entity Framework 6.0, and Web API to serve as the Object-Relational Mapper (ORM). TFS/GIT Online was used as the code repository, ensuring secure and efficient version control.
To provide high availability, data resilience, and global accessibility, the solution was hosted on the Microsoft Azure Cloud. Key Azure services such as Azure Web Apps, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Blob Storage were leveraged to ensure seamless access, reliable performance, and scalable storage.
The implemented solution enabled the organisation to integrate existing legacy data into a unified platform, offering a consolidated view of activities, outputs, outcomes, and impacts. With this RBM system in place, global offices could now track and report progress in real-time—bringing clarity, alignment, and accountability to the organisation’s mission delivery.
