Mumbai: Datamatics Limited, IT consulting and software services organization, has appointed Dr Hemant Adarkar to head its Technology Council and drive efforts in creating enterprise-wide solutions for high-end clients.

The position of Chief Architect has been specially created in view of the increasing significance of high-end architecture solutions in enterprise computing and Datamatics' focus in this direction. Over the past year, Datamatics has been augmenting its customer focus and focusing on creating customer-centric business solutions.

Dr Adarkar's main responsibilities will involve technical and business aspects of enterprise computing, application integration, middleware technologies, information security, enterprise mobility and IT effectiveness.

Dr Hemant Adarkar, a Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear Physics from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research and M.Sc. in Electronics from Mumbai University, has joined Datamatics as Chief Architect. He has over 21 years of experience in heterogeneous systems development, including 11 years primarily in the BFSI domain, application integration and information security.
