Mokashi holds a Masters in Science degree with Physics and Electronics as majors, and a PG DIIT from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, in Computer Science. He joined Datamatics in 1978. In the thirty years at Datamatics, Mokashi has been involved in the set up of several off-shore software development centers, including one of the very first ones out of India, for Wang Labs. He has worked at several client sites for technical, as well as, consultancy assignments in USA, UK, France, Canada, Middle-East, Africa, Japan, Australia, New Zealand etc.
Mokashi has been the Chief of the Software Migrations and Re-Engineering SBU of Datamatics for several years. One of the software tools that were developed under his leadership won the Prime Minister’s Award in India.
His largest migration assignment included 8 million lines of code. Currently, he is responsible for Corporate Initiatives, Six Sigma being one of the major ones, Quality and Global Outsourcing. He has recently taken all internal software development to support Datamatics, under his cap.
