System Testing Services
Datamatics’ System Testing service is focused towards testing the system as a whole. The emphasis is to check the quality of the deliverables from the software development process based on System Requirements and high level design.
The System Testing services offered by Datamatics include:
- System & Integration Testing
- Test Management & Support
- Outsourcing
Datamatics’ consultants have extensive experience in large system testing projects. Our test methodology and processes assure high coverage and defect detection rates to bring down total cost of ownership and accelerated release timelines.
Our testing methodology and techniques (exploratory, pair-wise, risk-based, etc.) are very effective when working with compressed timelines, we use an optimal mix of manual / automated testing with formalized approach when the situation so demands.
Datamatics will work with you to assess the testing requirements, develop the master Test strategy / plan and undertake the testing required, on time and on budget.
Datamatics engagement models are flexible – rather than you maintaining an in-house test facility that may be under-utilized or over-stretched, Datamatics can provide dedicated consultants for the required duration of the project with flexibility to alter resource levels as required towards achieving efficiency and meeting the set targets.
Our Test Lab is suitably equipped with heterogeneous environments to conduct testing for various projects. We operate to leverage time zone differences for faster turn-around. When required to provide services from your facility, we will provide our skilled consultants who will operate from there.
Areas within System Testing that Datamatics can address:
- Functionality – Ensuring that the software has been correctly implemented to provide intended business processes and rules.
- Accessibility – Ensuring that software products and services are available to people with disabilities. We use a mix of tools and manual techniques to test your websites for compliance with W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The manual testing involves both code inspection and testing via the user interface. Further testing is undertaken with a variety of user agents (graphical browsers, text browsers, screen readers, etc.) to verify that no adverse behaviour is exhibited.
- Usability – Meeting the requirements of users in various demographic environments with varying levels of computer and internet experience.
- Localization – Checking that linguistic, cultural and national norms in the target market have been addressed. Focus is on testing the translated user Interface, adapted graphics for specific culture / locale, help content and implementation of business rules/process specific to the locale.
- Internationalization (I18N) – Ensuring that application / product’s functionality is not broken and all the messages are properly externalized when used in different languages and locale. Main focus of the I18N testing is not to find functional defects, but to make sure that product is ready for the global market. I18N testing is divided in to two parts. First, to make sure that application’s GUI or functionality will not be broken with the translated text. Second to make sure that translation of all the strings have happened properly. The second part is generally done by a person who knows the language very well.
- Browser Compatibility – Ensuring that a web based application or site provides its users the 'experience' that it has been designed for across all applicable browsers and operating environments and behaves as expected. With the growing number of variables, such as the use of Flash, and other multimedia 'plug-ins', the types of security required, e.g. SSL and different levels of encryption; the scope of testing simply grows and grows.
- Regression – Ensuring that changes do not impact the existing functionality that has not changed; this is typically done at the end of complete functional test coverage achieved over multiple code drops after all identified incidents have been fixed.
