Datamatics Global Services Announces the Appointment of Punit Jain as Global Head – DP / i-Q

23 September 2009, Mumbai: Datamatics Global Services, a global provider of intelligent, value-driven technology and business solutions spanping IT consulting, business process transformation, off-the-shelf technology solutions and customized software services, announced the appointment of Punit Jain as Global Head – DP / i-Q.

Punit will be reporting to Rahul Kanodia, Vice Chairman and CEO, Datamatics Global Services.

Besides being a graduate in Electrical Eengineering from IIT Bombay , Punit has an MBA from IIM Bangalore. He has close to 22 years of experience, mainly in international and domestic business across industries ranging from IT and telecom to capital goods.

Punit started his career in 1985 with CDOT in Bangalore as a telecom design engineer. He has worked for reputed companies in industries like Office Automation, Electronic Components and Capital Goods and Enterprise Software Products. In every assignment, he has opened up new countries, and market segments, and grown the businesses substantially.

Punit’s last assignment was with Newgen Software Technologies Ltd. as Senior Vice President – Global Sales & Marketing. During his tenure of about 8 years at Newgen, he not only helped the company attain a leadership position in the BPM, Workflow and document imaging market in India , but his strategic vision coupled with deep understanding of various international markets grew the company rapidly. He was instrumental in getting reputed organizations like HSBC and SAP Ventures to invest in Newgen.
